Effective protection for pipe and duct insulation

Effective protection for pipe and duct insulation, EncaSeal from Apollo Energy Research.
EncaSeal has been developed by Apollo Energy Research to completely encase and seal most types of insulation used in the HVAC sector, such as ductwork, pipework and storage vessels. This heat-reflecting material is 130 µm thick and compatible with phenolic, nitrile, carbon-impregnated polyurethane and fibre insulation. Its aluminium surface has a bright special coating that is UV resistant and does not tarnish. It is also waterproof and bug proof. It has a Class 0 fire rating and a Valeron cross-laminated HDPE substrate core that makes it difficult to puncture or tear. One side is coated with a waterproof acrylic adhesive with release liner. When EncaSeal is in position, the adhesive migrates into the tarnish-proof coating, where it sets to provide a life-long bond that can resist high-pressure cleaning with water. With a moisture transmission rate of 0.021 g/m2 per day, EncaSeal is also an excellent vapour barrier. It also prevents particles escaping from the enclosed insulation.
