Xpelair improves the energy efficiency of ventilation products

Xpelair
Among a host of new energy-efficient ventilation products from Xpelair is this domestic heat-recovery unit.
Ventilation manufacturer Xpelair has introduced 33 new product ranges in response to the latest revision to Parts L and F of the Building Regulations and the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD). The new legislation has created a surge of interest in energy-saving ventilation solutions, and Xpelair has geared its new-product development accordingly. Supporting these product launches is a series of national CPD seminars on the changes in the regulations and the design capabilities and products to meet those changes. Among the new products is the Premier Centrifugal — with backdraught shutters and the capability of setting extraction rate according to room size and ductwork runs. A built-in humidistat limits the fan to operate only when conditions require, Xpelair also offers a collection of third-generation heat-recovery ventilation units. Xcell domestic units incorporate heat-recovery cells with an efficiency of over 90%. DC motors achieve substantially lower running costs than AC equivalents.
