Matthew Boulton College turns to Crompton Lighting

All the lighting requirements of this new building at Matthew Boulton College in Birmingham are delivered by nearly 1500 fluorescent luminaires from the Crompton Lighting range.
Lighting for the impressive new building of Matthew Boulton College in Birmingham is provided by newly 1500 fluorescent luminaires supplied by Cooper Lighting & Security. The building includes a wide variety of lecture rooms, laboratories, study areas and walkways — all of which are lit by products from the Crompton Lighting range of luminaires. Using over a thousand Moduspec semi-recessed fluorescent lighting fittings, the required lighting level of 400 lx with a uniformity of 0.8 in all the lecture rooms was achieved. Some 300 of the company’s new Solstar recessed fluorescent downlights with blue halo glass were supplied for the walkways. Moduwall and Moduseal recessed fluorescent luminaires illuminate the restaurant and laboratories. All installation work was carried out by Interserve of West Bromwich. Consultants were the Birmingham office of Couch Perry & Wilkes and SDA of Sheffield.

More refrigerant bans possible, says government
