SAS develops solution combining acoustics and lighting

SAS International has enhanced its range of acoustic lighting rafts. System 600 acoustic lighting rafts or modules are suspended directly from an open soffit or within coffers to provide a pre-fabricated lighting and acoustic solution for environments such as schools, offices and hospitals. Made from metal, they have a durable finish that provides a cost-effective solution while reducing whole-life costs. System 600 rafts and modules are said to provide an ideal acoustic and lighting solution for those considering using thermal-mass cooling. A variety of acoustic treatments can be provided, including perforations and acoustic pads. System 600 can also be configured to carry services such as cabling, public address, and fire detection and control systems. Apertures for luminaires and other services are formed during manufacture — reducing installation time on site.
