CIBSE and IoR join forces to promote excellence

The interests of air-conditioning and refrigeration engineers have moved closer with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) and the Institute of Refrigeration (IoR). The two organisations have committed to working together to develop and promote excellence in the refrigeration and air-conditioning aspects of building services. David Hughes, president of CIBSE, said, ‘Refrigeration and air conditioning play an important role within the building-services industry. This agreement will allow our organisations to better understand the way in which we can work together to promote and develop excellence.’ Dr Guy Hundy, president of IoR, added, ‘The IoR is keen to extend the benefits it offers to its members and sees collaborative agreements such as this as an important strategic move. We know that there is much overlap in the interests of CIBSE and IoR members, and we are pleased that we will be working together to serve those interests further in the future.’
