Extra dates for CPD renewable-energy seminars

Mitsubishi Electric has announced more dates for its series of free CPD-approved seminars on renewable energy following the success of the four held from September to January at its conference suite in Hatfield. The events are designed to help consultants and contractors understand the issues surrounding the requirement for renewable energy that will dominate building and planning permission in the future. Many local authorities have already made a requirement for renewable energy a part of planning regulations. Dates are 15 March, 18 April, 17 May and 20 June. Leaders from across Yorkshire and the Humber came together on Friday 11th September to launch ambitious plans aimed at tackling the region’s growing construction skills shortages.

Six in 10 UK businesses look to adapt operations in response to extreme heat

According to the Q2 Barclays Business Prosperity Index, six in 10 businesses surveyed (60%) have either increased investment to adapt to extreme heat (37%) or are considering doing so (23%).
