Control system learns from experience — collected from all over the world

By constantly monitoring the performance of Fläkt Woods’ Econet heat-recovery system and comparing it with other systems all over the world, the Remo control system enables its performance to be maximised.
Fläkt Woods has introduced a monitoring unit for its Econet packaged liquid-coupled heat-recovery system. Remo can check and control all temperature functions remotely to deliver what is described as outstanding energy-saving advantages. Made by Siemens, Remo has several temperature sensors for both water and can be connected via Econet’s installed modem. The system will also collect all sensor information and store the temperature in internal memory. When the memory is full, data is automatically transferred to a remote computer in Fläkt Woods’ office in Butzbach, Germany. All stored data is compared against information from many systems over time, enabling Remo to calculate the most favourable energy efficiency and save energy costs. Econet systems are supplied complete with all necessary components — starting with optimised heat exchangers with condensate drain pans on supply and exhaust to allow both heating and cooling in each coil. The system is complete with pump, frequency inverter, controls and all necessary valves and sensors.
