Ideal Boilers increase output of its Imax xtra boiler range

Ideal Boilers has added four models to its Imax xtra range of high-efficiency condensing boilers to meet increasing demand for high-efficiency condensing boilers with outputs from 320 to 560 kW, in 80 kW increments. Efficiencies of up to 88% gross are achieved in non-condensing mode and up to 96.9% gross at 30% load in condensing mode Built around a cast-aluminium heat exchanger, each model comprises two modules in one boiler, which operate down to a combined minimum modulation of 20 to 25% depending on the model. A micro-processor-based controller on the front of the boiler operates all electrical functions, including ignition, flame detection, flow/return temperature sensors and output modulation. Boiler status and fault diagnosis are also displayed, with remote indication of boiler run and alarm fitted as standard. There are now 10 models in the Imax xtra range covering outputs from 80 to 560 kW.
