Dalkia wins five-year facilities-management contract at Sellafield

Sellafield in Cumbria, where Dalkia has won a 5-year facilities management contract.
Dalkia, which specialises in the management of technical facilities and energy, has been appointed to jointly handle all the facilities management within site services at Sellafield in West Cumbria. The appointment for the site, which cover about two square miles, was made by British Nuclear Group. Activities on the site centre on remediation, decommissioning and clean-up of the historic legacy. The site is also home to the Thorp and Magnox reprocessing plants, the Sellafield mixed-oxide fuel manufacturing plant and a wide range of waste-management and effluent-treatment facilities. The Dalkia contract will last for five years and covers all aspects of facilities management from guarding, access control and parking to M&E services, water treatment and waste. Dalkia will provide street lighting, fire prevention and soft services such as furniture, cleaning and escort duties.
