Automatic bypass valve helps satisfy Part L1

valve
By varying the amount of boiler bypass in domestic heating systems, this automatic bypass valve from Honeywell increases system efficiency and helps meet the requirements of Part L1.
A reliable and cost-effective method of satisfying the boiler bypass requirements of Good Practice Guide 302 to Part L1 of the Building Regulations for England and Wales is provided by an automatic bypass valve from Honeywell. The DU144 valve has a simple adjustment mechanism that increases water flow automatically according to the water pressure across it. As rooms approach design temperatures and devices such as TRVs start to close, the DU144 opens proportionally to enable a safe water flow around the boiler. When valves open again, it closes to maximise flow to the heating circuits. The efficiency of the heating system is improved compared with a fixed bypass system. This valve is suitable for all heating system with static pressures up to 6 bar and flows up to 50 l/min.
