Carrier offers all-aluminium heat exchangers on the Aquasnap range of chillers

Carrier is now offering its all-aluminium micro-channel heat exchanger (MCHX) into Aquasnap chillers to improve efficiency and enhance corrosion resistance. Although convention copper/aluminium coils will still be available on some units as an option, the efficiency of the new technology is such that Carrier expects only limited requests once the market has adjusted to the change. MCHX heat exchangers have been a great success with Aquaforce chillers. These coils are entirely made of aluminium and have a brazed construction. Not only do they increase heat-transfer efficiency and efficiency, but the overall weight of the chiller is also reduced. An additional benefit is that up to 40% less refrigerant is required.
