Honeywell controls heating zones without wires
Honeywell’s wireless CM900 programmable thermostat can be used to create heating zones by transmitting time and temperature signals to wireless receivers on radiator and underfloor-heating valves. It can also transmit to a boiler controller, eliminating all control cables in a conventional installation. Honeywell HR80UK wireless controllers are fitted to the valves to be controlled. There is no need for a 2-port valve for the zone and no need to drain the heating system. Additional heating zones can be added to a CM Zone wireless zone-control system. The signals transmitted to the boiler controller provide a multi-point boiler interlock, optimising boiler firing to save energy and reduce boiler wear. Up to four wireless thermostats can operate with the same boiler controller.
