Amtech acquires Estimation

Mark Tindall of Amtech and David Bell of Estimation shake hands on the acquisition of Estimation by Amtech.
Amtech, which specialises in software for electrical design and test and inspection, has acquired Estimation, one of the market leaders in software for building-services estimating, accounting and contract management. Mark Tindall, managing director of Amtech, says, ‘ I am delighted with the move and look forward to working with David Bell and his team. As a supplier of quality software to the building-services industry, it was vital that any group expansion was with a company with quality products and support services, and I am pleased to say that Estimation fits this profile very well. The takeover is likely to see closer co-operation between design and estimating. David Bell, managing director of Estimation, says, ‘We are all very excited about the future. Working within Amtech will help ensure our products keep moving forwards and provide customers with more advanced and flexible design-and-estimating solutions.’
