Both warm and chilled water can be delivered by heat-pump versions of York’s Tempo range of chillers
Johnson Controls has launched a heat-pump version of the popular York Tempo range of chillers to supply warm and chilled water for air-conditioning applications. These fully packaged units incorporate two separate refrigerant circuits with two or three hermetic scroll compressors in each circuit, a single stainless-steel refrigerant-to-water plate heat exchanger, ambient coils and all necessary components and controls for automatic operation. Cooling capacities range from 183 to 426 kW, with heating from 187 to 469 kW. They are designed for low-noise operation, with low-noise fans and acoustic enclosures for the compressors. For quick and easy installation, there is a single connection for electrical power and optional water-circulating pumps, expansion device and flow switch.
