Lochinvar serves up an ace for the Lawn Tennis Association

The new National Tennis Centre at Roehampton has its hot-water requirements met by Lochinvar equipment.
The hot-water requirements of the new National Tennis Centre of the Lawn Tennis Association at Roehampton are met by a Lochinvar copper-fin water heater and two storage tanks. The equipment provides hot water for showers in the changing area, the residential facilities, medical suite and kitchen. The centre was recently opened by the Queen and has been established to provide a national focus for tennis in Great Britain to offer players the best opportunity to realise their potential by giving world-class facilities and back up. David Pepper, managing director of Lochinvar, said, ‘The new National Tennis Centre is a state-of-the-art sports facility for the 21st century, and the fast-recovery copper-fin water heater has the ability to meet heavy simultaneous demand for hot water required at the centre.’ As well as offering top-level coaching and mentoring to tennis players, the centre has six indoor courts and outdoor facilities offering a variety of playing surfaces — including six hard courts, six clay courts and four grass courts. Recent sport projects to use Lochinvar water-heating equipment include Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium, the Brit Oval cricket ground, the Walkers Stadium (home of Leicester City FC), and Leicester Tigers RUFC Stadium. Lochinvar’s equipment was specified by Synergy Building Services and installed by Longcross Group.
