Factors contributing to this growth includes the extended summer weather last year, tax incentives related to energy efficiency, the continuing strength of the construction industry and product innovations by Daikin. The year also saw Daikin Europe taking over responsibility for South Africa from parent company Daikin Industries and new sales offices being set up in Ireland and the Middle East. The current financial year will see an increased focus on the important Turkish market, with a local Daikin sales office in Istanbul and a newly appointed distributor.
