Daikin outdoor units have improved efficiency

Daikin
New R410A 4-port multi units, designated 4MXS68F (heat pump) and 4MKS75F (cooling only) have been introduced by Daikin Europe. Both models feature higher COPs and EERs, are classified as having Class A energy-efficiency ratings. They are connectable with a wide range of indoor units, including the new wall-mounted unit (FTKS-F/FTXS-F) and the new floor-standing unit (FVXS-F). Corrosion-resistant outdoor units can be installed on a roof or terrace or against an outside wall and offer low-noise operation. Comfort levels can be further increased via ‘silent operation’ and ‘night quiet’ modes

More refrigerant bans possible, says government

The government could tighten up the rules that restrict the use of global warming refrigerant gases including speeding up phase-out programmes and introducing new bans, according to a spokesman from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA).
