Major projects in Bristol and Leicester will be IT intelligent

Redstone Converged Solutions is installing converged IT and communications infrastructures for projects in Bristol and Leicester. A range of third-party systems will connect directly to the network — including security, CCTV surveillance, HVAC, audio visual and people counting. The project at the Cabot Circus development in Bristol has an initial contract value of £1.8 million. The Highcross Quarter in Leicester is a new retail, residential, restaurant and leisure development. It has an initial contract value of £1.6 million. Redstone is responsible for delivering a single IP network for each development based on Cisco’s connected real estate principles and managing third-party system connectivity using specialist commissioning software. Stewart Jones, director of business development with Redstone Converged Solutions, says, ‘These major contracts to deploy converged IT and communications infrastructures in two high-profile developments will bring tangible benefits to all those involved — retailers, employees and suppliers.
