Writtle College in Essex has installed Atlantic’s R-series boiler as part of its ‘green-classroom’ concept. A new 640 m2 glasshouse will be used for teaching and research and includes a variety of environmental features, including re-use of water, boiler efficiency and the type of fuel used. The glasshouse has five separate environment-controlled zones, and the R Series 300 kW condensing boiler from Atlantic was chosen for its efficiency and flexibility in burning either fossil or biofuels, including rape-seed oil, biodiesel and used frying oil.
