Software helps achieve compliance with Building Regulations in all regions of the UK

IES now offers compliance solutions for the UK Building Regulations covering all regions of the UK. Addressing reductions in energy and carbon emissions, the accredited IES module offers routes for compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations in England and Wales, Part F in Northern Ireland and Section 6 in Scotland. includes bespoke user-friendly interfaces to SBEM and SAP 2005, as well as the core Dynamic Simulation Model that is used by leading designers as a more flexible alternative to SBEM. Commercial benefits include being able to assess designs quickly and easily for compliance, compare alternative energy-saving strategies and relate their effect back to the real buildings. Data input is simple, and much of the data is assigned and updated automatically. Designs can be tested at multiple stages without re-input. Results files suitable for inclusion in submissions to building-control authorities are produces, as well as realistic and animated 3D visualisations. IES also offers web-based low-cost training to help users learn software techniques and understand how best to achieve compliance for dwellings and non-dwellings. The courses are designed to enable users of IES software to enter examinations for CIBSE’s Low Carbon Consultants Simulation accreditation scheme.
