A new addition to Eaton Electric’s Mempower MP medium power bus range is featured in the company’s latest catalogue.
Eaton Electric has extended its Mempower MP medium-power busbar range with a new 800 A rating. The company now offers an 800 A rating in its air-insulated MP range and its XP low-impedance range. Mempower MP is used extensively in residential blocks, hotels, departments stores, hospitals, offices and industrial installations. It is often used for vertical risers and offers tap-off units every third of a metre and is offered in 4- and 5-bar options. The 5-bar option provides an integral earth conductor, avoiding having to use the casing as an earth conductor. It can withstand 25 kA for a second and has a 40 kA short-time withstand rating. Steve Witham, product manager for busbar trunking, says, ‘The 800 A rating enables us to offer a choice between a competitively priced air-insulated system at the top end of the medium-power range and a compact, high-performance system with a higher fault rating.’
