Tyco Thermal Controls has expanded its Raychem range of under-surface electric snow-melting systems with the launch of a further two new products developed for keeping exposed pedestrian and vehicular access open and safe during wintry weather. These additions are a 400 V heating cable suitable for large-area applications with a 3-phase supply available (circuit lengths up to 250 m) and an easy-to-lay power pre-terminated power mat for fast installation. The new systems join the proven Raychem EM2-XR self-regulating cable system for concrete surfaces and the mineral-insulated cable system which is ideal for use under asphalt surfaces as it offers resistant to 250°C and will withstand a heavy roller.
