Ensuring security of the standby power supplies for Land Securities

Standby generators at several key sites of Land Securities in London are now serviced and maintained by Merlin Power Management.
Merlin Power Management has been awarded a contract to service and maintain standby generators at a number of Land Securities sites in London. The contract is for Inviron, which itself is now responsible for managing the mechanical and electrical services at these sites, which include Land Securities’ own office in the Strand and commercial, retail and office premises owned by the company. The 3-year contract for Merlin includes 24/7 cover with emergency response times of less than four hours. The buildings are occupied by financial institutions, retail, outlets, communications companies and consultancies — which all rely on a continuous power source. Paul Horsley, operations manager at the London business centre of Inviron’s facilities management and service, says, ‘Merlin was recommended to me by a colleague for their previous work with Inviron. They have proved very competitive and reliable, and I have been extremely impressed with their professionalism and the procedure they have put in place.’
