ICS has unveiled a range of food-safe, biodegradable antifreeze for use in the food and beverage industry and where low oral toxicity is preferred. The new ‘green’ glycol is the latest addition to ICS’s range of glycols that includes blue for food-safe applications and red for general industrial plants. The latest offering is a proprietary blend of refined vegetable extracts that are bio-degradable and have a very low order of toxicity. ICS green contains non-toxic (GRAS) multi-metal inhibitors to protect chillers and associated cooling systems against corrosion and prolongs equipment life and thermal efficiency.

More refrigerant bans possible, says government
