Centralised modules reduce installation and commissioning time
By centralising the control and commissioning of a number of hydronic terminal units, Tour & Andersson’s TA-HUB has significantly reduced the time needed for installation and commissioning in a new unit at Calderstones Hospital in Lancashire.
To significantly reduce the time taken for installation and commissioning for the new medium-secure unit at Calderstones Hospital in Lancashire, Tour & Andersson’s TA-HUB centralised balancing system was chosen. By centralising the hydronic balancing of a number of terminal units at one point, TA-HUB reduces installation time by at least 20% and commissioning time by over 50%. These prefabricated units are supported by a software package that aids the design of efficient hydronic systems by specifying the correct valves according to individual requirements. 12 units have been installed at this hospital, each serving four to eight terminal units. Each valve arrangement has a differential-pressure-control valve and commissioning valves. Test points on each terminal make pre-commissioning much simpler. This hospital is in the Ribble Valley and provided specialist treatment for people with learning difficulties.
