9 MW chilled-water air-conditioning installation includes free cooling

Aermec free-cooling water chillers are providing energy-efficient cooling at 55 Baker Street in London by delivering free cooling without the need for glycol circulation in the primary chilled-water system. Developed by London & Regional Properties, this 100 000 m2 building is designed for mixed use. 16 Aermec NSB stepless air-cooled screw-compressor chillers have been installed to provide over 9 MW of cooling at 32°C ambient temperature. It is believed to be the largest free-cooling water chiller installation in the UK. Total Concept Solutions, the London regional Aermec representative, worked with M&E consulting engineers Blyth & Blyth to configure a solution for this prestigious project. Aermec chillers are fully Eurovent certified.
