TridonicAtco improves performance of lighting ballasts

TridonicAtco is using Xitec technology to improve the performance of its PC Pro T8 lighting ballast.
TridonicAtco’s new Xitec technology has been used to improve the Pc Pro T8 ballast. The new benefits of the PC Pro T8 Xitec include a high level of integration and a wealth of additional functions to enhance performance. The better thermal management gained through the use of Xitec technology reduces power loss, so the thermal load on the ECG is lower, increasing the reliability of the device. These improved ballasts have an impressive built-in intelligence and lengthen lamp life by providing a gentle hot restarts, automatic restart on relamping and constant luminous flux, even during fluctuations in mains voltage. Existing ballasts can easily be replaced because size, fixing points and connection positions are identical. Luminaires with these ballasts can be switched by presence sensors or ambient-light sensors. PC Pro T8 X ballasts have a life of 50 000 h at an ambient temperature of up to 60°C.
