Moeller Electric makes it easy to meter

Metering capability can now easily be added to Moeller Electric’s whole range of distribution switchgear.
All distribution switchgear from Moeller Electric is now available in versions that have been specifically designed to accommodate meters and, where appropriate, current transformers — providing an effective method of meeting the metering requirements of Part L of the Building Regulations. This capability is available for all switchboards — from B-type board to the largest fault-rated distribution switchboards. Metering can also easily be retrofitted to existing installations, avoiding the need for extensive refurbishment when systems are upgraded to meet the requirements of Part L. In addition, consumer units in the XBoard range are now available with a variety of split-load options that allow external metering for groups of boards to be implemented easily. To install meters, all that is needed is to replace the plain enclosure door with one fitted with a metering and display unit. There is provision for the associated current transformers to be readily accommodated.
