Clivet provides comfort at Cardiff International Airport

As part of a major enhancement programme at Cardiff International Air Airport, a Clivet condensing unit helps maintain comfort in the baggage reclaim hall.
Contributing to a temperature-controlled environment for the baggage reclaim building at Cardiff International Airport is a Clivet MSAT-MC70D condensing unit on the roof. It provides cooling continuously to the air-handling unit designed by Consultants McCann & Partners and installed by Emcor Specialist Services, which has the contract for providing essential projects, maintenance and management functions at the airport. Cardiff Airport now handles more than two million passengers a year and can accommodate up to 30 landings and take-offs an hour — so the baggage reclaim hall can be very busy. This latest Clivet package was recommended by contractor JCW Wales and brings the number of Clivet condensing units at the airport to three. It has two cooling circuits, each capable of 100 kW of cooling. NSAT air-cooled condensing units use hermetic scroll compressors and are capable of withstanding the adverse weather conditions of this coastal location.
