Mott MacDonald appointed for new stand at Edgbaston

Mott MacDonald has been appointed by Warwickshire County Cricket Club to provide all engineering services for a new £30 million stand with 9000 seats. The new stand will replace a number of existing buildings and occupy a quarter of the pitch perimeter. Mott MacDonald is providing all engineering services, including structural, mechanical, electrical, public- health and fire-engineering. Planning applications will be submitted later this year, with detailed design expected to begin in early 2009 and construction planned around the needs of the cricket season. Completion is scheduled for 2011

More refrigerant bans possible, says government
