Lessons from building sustainable homes

Lessons learned by the first four developers to design and build to the Code for Sustainable Homes on the BRE Innovation Park are presented in a 4-part BRE information paper ‘Applying the Code for Sustainable Homes on the BRE Innovation Park’. The four parts cover: building fabric; energy and ventilation; water; and architecture, construction and sourcing. The lessons learned are based on the experience of EcoTech, Hanson, Kingspan Offsite and Stewart Milne Group.
