Disposing of boiler condensate

A solution to disposing of condensate from condensing boilers developed by Hepworth Plumbing Products enables condensate to be discharged into waste, rainwater or soil pipe, or a soakaway to be used. For waste and soil pipes, a connector is clamped or strapped to the pipe. A waste pipe is drilled with a 20 mm hole saw and a clamp, which is compatible with push-fit and solvent-weld pipes, fixed. The soil adaptor works in a similar way, without any protrusion into the bore that might lead to blockage. A single connector can be used with square and round rainwater downpipes. By using a spigot arrangement, the adaptor can be used with fittings from the existing overflow range to produce unobtrusive connections. All connectors are available in a range of colours. The soakaway option comprises a 110 mm-diameter perforated soakaway, which is surrounded by limestone chippings in the ground to direct discharge away from the building.
