Glazed facades

Guidance for building designers on selecting facades, based on a range of environmental criteria, is provided in a new toolkit from CIBSE. Solar gain, heat losses, daylighting and acoustics are just some of the factors to be considered when selecting a facade. The guide is accompanied by a software selector tool enabling suitable facade systems to be selected from a library of 37 different glazing systems. The guide costs £56 (plus VAT and delivery), with discounts for CIBSE members.
