Elta provides sole fan power in Rick Stein restaurant kitchen

Elta Rick Stein restaurant
On the menu as part of the refurbishment of this Rick Stein restaurant in Padstow is Elta fan power to provide kitchen extract.
As part of the extensive refurbishment of the Seafood Restaurant of Rick and Jill Stein in Padstow, Elta was called on to provide extract power for three canopies in the main kitchen. One difficulty was that, being typical of many Cornish buildings, the kitchen is halfway below ground level and there are 16 guest rooms above the restaurant — so noise levels were a big consideration. Partridge Ventilation, ventilation and air-conditioning sub-contractor for the project, fitted a single SLC 710 fan from Elta’s Select range, and its inverter control was programmed on site to restrict its noise levels. These long-cased fans have adjustable-pitch aerofoil-section impellers with blades of pressure die-cast aluminium. The high-efficiency impellers makes the SLC a very economical method of moving high volumes of air at low to medium pressures. The angle of the impeller can be adjusted on site should a commissioning problem occur.
