Oxygen-reduction system protects 5000 m3 archive from risk of fire

To protect over 90 years of corporate history, Turkey’s largest conglomerate has chosen Wagner’s OxyReduct system for its new purpose-built 5000 m3 archive. Koç Corporation has installed the system to protect a valuable collection of documents, objects and works of art from the risk of fire. By creating an environment in which a fire cannot start, OxyReduct provides the ultimate form of fire protection.
Founded in 1917, the Koç Corporation comprises over a hundred separate corporations operating in 100 countries. In 2004, the group had a turnover of $16.6 billion and interests as diverse as manufacturing cars, food, televisions and washing machines and operating petrol stations, supermarkets and retail outlets.
OxyReduct creates an environment in which fires cannot start by continuously adding nitrogen to reduce oxygen to a level in which most combustibles do not inflame and an open fire is impossible. Importantly, people can enter and work in the archives at any time.
Over 200 major organisations throughout Europe have installed OxyReduct systems. There are more examples on the MBS web site (www.modbs.co.uk and search for OxyReduct).
