The range exceeds current demands for efficiency and qualifies for Enhanced Capital Allowances, which allow businesses to offset the full costs of energy-saving technologies against taxable profits. There is a wide range of advanced control systems. These inverter-driven products are suitable for larger-scale applications requiring heating, cooling or simultaneous cooling and heating, which is achieved using a 2-pipe systems. Total system pipe lengths have been extended to 400 m, and there is a wide range of indoor units.

More refrigerant bans possible, says government

The government could tighten up the rules that restrict the use of global warming refrigerant gases including speeding up phase-out programmes and introducing new bans, according to a spokesman from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA).
