Sanyo’s VRF air conditioning can also produce electricity and hot water

Sanyo has now formally launched its ECO G Power VRF air-conditioning system. It is driven by a gas engine, and the package can also generate electricity and hot water.

Up to 4 kW of 240 V single-phase electricity can be generated for use on site or returning to the grid.

Up to 22 kW of heat is available from the engine to produce domestic hot water.

The system is said to cut CO2 emissions by up to a third, helping to respond to the needs of sustainable buildings and their users.
