Heat-recovery VRV air conditioning has been installed in this development in Hastings with Daikin equipment supplied by Space Airconditioning.

Space Airconditioning has supplied the equipment for the extensive Daikin VRV air-conditioning systems at the Lacuna Place office and retail development in Hastings.

The 3-pipe heat-recovery equipment consists of 15 systems in a modular arrange­ment of 22 outdoor units serving 150 slim ducted fan-coil units. All the equipment is controlled by Daikin’s I-Touch control system.

Space Air/Daikin approved installer DMA of Gillingham carried out the installation work over two phases.

Lacuna Place is the largest high-quality development of new offices in the town centre for over 25 years and comprises 2900 m2 of contemporary offices arranged over four floors, with a ground-floor reception areas. The scheme also has two retail units totalling 6000 m2 on the ground floor.

Lacuna Place is part of a 10-year investment programme for the area by Costal Land (Sussex), a joint venture between economic development company Sea Space and property specialist Land Group. The building was designed by architects Proctor & Matthews to fit in with the historic streetscape.
