Fabricators at the new Liverpool Ductshop of Senior Hargreaves put the finishing touches to a stainless-steel Tin Man symbolising a charitable links with a local children’s hospital.
To celebrate the opening of its new Liverpool Ductshop last month, Senior Hargreaves has set up a charitable link with Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. To symbolise the relationship, the company has created a Tin Man, which will be a key feature in a themed garden at the hospital. Staff at the hospital suggested a Tin Man. Ductshop general manager Phil John says, ‘Because this will become a permanent feature, we thought it only fitting to make the sculpture in stainless steel. Using traditional metalworking skills, our fabricators have risen to the challenge and created a sculpture that we hope will delight the children at the hospital for many years.’ The depot was opened by the Mayor and Mayoress of Sefton.
