Ackerman Cablelink is a rethink in floor boxes

Ackermann Cablelink/MK Electric

The Ackermann Cablelink Plus modular floorbox from MK Electric is designed for high load-bearing capability and for speed and ease of installation. Load-bearing capability meets BS EN 50085-2-2. These boxes also have self-closing lids in accordance with the draft IEC 61534-11 and improved robustness with cord caps that cannot be kicked off.

The introduction of square boxes and lids allows 90° rotations to give more flexibility in location, positioning and installing — and also more flexibility during office redesigns. There is a choice of two frame sizes to provide the option of using three or four modules.

Deeper back boxes, adjustable module and device-tray heights provide more space for plug tops or increased wiring space for Cat6 compatibility by ensuring that minimum bend radii of cables are maintained.

Other design enhancements include quick-release blades for fitting without tools in just 10 seconds and quick-fit 2-piece modules. Staggered power plates ensure that plug-top leads do not clash. The height of modules can be adjusted to accommodate bulky items such as telephone chargers with the lid closed.
