Work starts soon on new university campus in Scotland

Construction work for the new £70 million 18 000 m2 Ayr Campus of the University of the West of Scotland is planned to start in September by Bovis Lend Lease UK. It will be build on the Craigie Estate next to the River Ayr. Architect is RMJM.

The new building is designed to a BREEAM ‘excellent’ rating and adopts sustainable strategies — including rainwater harvesting and on-site power generation through sustainable sources.

More refrigerant bans possible, says government
