Zumtobel lighting achieves high energy standards in Birmingham

Zumtobel Lighting
Lighting that exceeds the energy requirements of Part L2A of the Building Regulations has been achieved with Zumtobel luminaires.

Zumtobel luminaires have helped the Colmore Plaza office development in Birmingham exceed the energy requirements of Part L2A and comply with LG7 ceiling brightness impression.

To provide a London-specification office finish within lighting and budgetary requirements, about 5000 Mellow Light IV Gridlens luminaires were installed in surface-mounted and recessed versions over nine floors.

These luminaires have a low energy consumption and high light-output ratio. Its microprismatic optic with an innovative cross pattern boosts the light-output ratio and controls glare for a wide range of applications. Its unique illumination is achieved by teamwork between optic and lighting chamber.

The efficiency and lamp output ensure sufficient light onto the ceiling to meet L2A and LG7 guidelines without overwhelming the architecture of the Colmore Plaza.
