Taps and mixers automatically flush to prevent legionella

Automatic taps from Douglas Delabie automatically flush every 24 hours as an anti-legionella measure.

Tempomatic 3 Electronic taps and mixers from Douglas Delabie now incorporate an anti-legionella automatic flush device. It actives a 45 s flush cycle each 24 h after the last use to prevent water stagnation and bacteria development in the supply pipes.

Designed for public and commercial applications, these taps and mixers shut off water flow automatically when hands are removed and have a pre-set flow rate of 5 l/min. Overall water savings are up to 80% compared with traditional mixers and taps.

Electronic control, solenoid and 6 V lithium batteries are all in the tap body. A pictogram on the top maintenance cover provides easy understanding of function.

Batteries have an average service life of three to five years and can be replaced without isolating the water supply. The integrated solenoid valve can also be serviced from the top.
