Stainless-steel electrical enclosures

Weidmuller has redesigned its Klippon STB family of small terminal boxes for standard and harsh environments. Technical improvements have been made in line with new standards relating to equipment for hazardous areas (IEC/EN 60079, ATEX) and DIN 62208 covering empty enclosures, as well as the increased demands of industrial companies operating in a global environment.

These enclosures are made from mirror-polished stainless steel and available in eight sizes from 120 x 120 x 80 mm though to 250 x 400 x 130 mm. Ingress protection is to IP66/67 (industrial standard) and IP66 (ATEX).

They are designed for temperatures from -50 to +120°C and supplied with highly temperature-resistant silicon gaskets with compression protection as standard.

Earthing studs are welded inside and out, and an earthing stud is also integrated into the completely removable lid.
