Carlo Gavazzi has introduced a range of sensors for a wide range of environmental variables. These new CGES sensors can measure CO2 levels, humidity, temperature and airflow as part of complete solutions for energy management, HVAC and smart building applications.

The CO2 sensors use non-dispersive infra-red technology to measure CO2 from 0 to 2000 ppm or 0 to 5000 ppm. A patented auto-calibration procedure compensates for drift caused by aging. Operation in a closed-loop airstream avoids pollution of the sensor.

Humidity sensors are based on a thin-film polymer to deliver an accuracy of ±3% from 10 to 90% RH.

Air-velocity sensors utilise the principles of thin-film anemometry to measure air speed up to 20 m/s.

Temperature measurement is available using PT100, Pt1000, PTC or NTC elements with a typical accuracy of ± 0.3 K at 20°C.

The sensors are available in duct or wall-mounting formats.
