Elmhurst and IES team up to certify energy assessors

Elmhurst Energy Systems, which operates an accreditation scheme for commercial energy assessors, is partnering with Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES) to provide training and competence certification for assessors in the use of its suite of software for energy and carbon regulation. This Government-approved software provides free SBEM and dynamic-simulation solutions for Part L compliance and creating Energy Performance Certificates.

Gavin Dunn, operations director of Elmhurst Energy, comments, ‘As the only award-winning training and accreditation body for energy assessors, we will continue to innovate by offering our assessors wider access to the best software solutions available. We believe that IES Commercial software is a true innovation in the development of energy-rating software.

David McEwan, UK director of IES, adds, ‘Linking IES software and training with leading accreditation schemes such as Elmhurst is essential in maintaining quality standards within the commercial EPC market. Ensuring that only those who have properly demonstrated their competence in our software can lodge certificate is of prime importance to us.’
