Morfitts wins three major building-services contracts

Morfitts has won three new contracts worth nearly £2.9 million. In Wisbech, the company is working on a fully automated cold store being built by Partner Logistic of Holland. The £50 million building will act as a distribution hub for frozen-food producers from across the UK. It will operate at a constant -28°C and be able to store up to 73 000 pallets. Morfitts’ contract is worth £960 000 and covers all ­the M&E services for the warehouse area and the attached 3-story building.

Another of the contracts, worth £920 000, is for all the building services for new student accomm odation providing 198 bedrooms for Leeds Trinity University College.

The third contract is for the Sandal Magna Junior and Infants School in Wakefield. Worth £1 million, it will include a ground-source heat-pump installation to provide hot water and part of the heating.
