MITIE takes integrated approach to carbon and energy management

MITIE has drawn together a range of expertise, including that gained from the recent purchase of the FM division of Dalkia, to launch an integrated carbon-management service to provide organisations with an all-encompassing service to manage energy usage and carbon emissions. Called CarbonCare, it enables organisations to outsource their carbon-management needs to MITIE.

Mike Sewell, marketing director for MITIE, says, ‘No-one has successfully brought together all areas of carbon and energy management, and we are very excited by the prospects of the new business stream. We have shown time and again that we can help clients significantly improve their efficiency in specific areas, but now for the first time clients have a holistic solution that will multiply the benefits across organisations.’

With legislation such as the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme coming into force, organisations can benefit from joined-up advice on managing their assets in an energy-efficient way and meeting their obligations.

MITIE’s experience includes all areas of energy and carbon management and has helped companies like Tesco save millions by reducing energy consumption.
