Airflow Developments simplifies the installation of ventilation systems
Airflow’s Airflex Pro flexible ductwork is described as providing a fast, hygienic and zero-leakage method of installing ductwork for central extract ventilation and mechanical ventilation with heat recovery. This flexible ductwork is 75 mm in diameter and supplied on a roll. Its flexibility enables it to be readily threaded through joists without the need for cutting and taping. It can be run vertically down walls to connect with low-level wall and floor grilles. It can even be buried in a concrete screed.
Savings of up to 75% in installation time on site are claimed.
Each room can be individually connected to the ventilation, significantly reducing noise transmission between rooms.
The flexible tube is lined with a smooth-bore, low-resistance, anti-static coating to prevent dust settling and accumulating.
Airflex Pro is connected to the heat-recovery unit via a central plenum box, where the air is smoothed out and conditioned for extraction through the unit or delivering to rooms. Connections are made using a push-fit sealing ring. The air supply to a room can be increased by installing two lengths of duct in parallel. There is a wide selection of grilles, diffusers and termination boxes.
