Fujistu’s Compact VRF

Fujitsu’s new compact VRF air-conditioning system can serve up to eight indoor units of various types.

Fujitsu’s Airstage J-Series of VRF is available as cooling only or as a heat-pump version, using R410A. The outdoor unit is 20% smaller and lighter than conventional condensers, at 900 mm wide, 370 mm deep, 900 mm high and weighing 97 kg. An outdoor unit can run up to eight indoor units, selecting from a range of 28 models of ceiling, wall or floor models and 10 duct units. DC inverter scroll compressors have variable capacity, so that a system can achieve a COP of 3.2 in cooling and 3.4 in heating. Nominal cooling capacity is 15.2 kW and 16.6 kW for heating. For a connecting pipe length up to 30 m, additional refrigerant charging is not needed. There are three control options: wired remote controller for all functions; remote controller with limited functions; and a central controller.
